Now showing: Acadia Gallery Group Show (runs to October 22)
Local author Deanna Foster, went to the opening for the Acadia University Gallery group show1 and kindly sent along this photo of herself with two of my paintings on display in the show. Thank you Deanna!
Deanna is the author of two fantasy and paranormal novels: Raven’s Blood (2021), and Broken Ivy (2011). She is also the author of a non-fiction book: A History of Hangings in Nova Scotia,(Pottersfield Press, 2007, distributed through Nimbus).
I haven’t been in to see the show yet due to other commitments but am looking forward to viewing all the original artwork there and am especially thankful to Deanna for sending along this photo of two of my works on display in the show. I hear they had an amazing turnout at the opening.
Coming up: October 8th

I am excited to be participating in my second Pop-up Art Fair in Parrsboro this year on October 8th. The art fair is a one day event, from 11 am to 4 pm. I’m thinking about kicking around the area for a bit afterward to take in some of the fall colours and paint somewhere along the Jurassic Shore. 🦕
Coming up in October: two more shows
Details coming soon. It’s a busy fall and I’m excited about the work as well as the shows.
Mesmerizing
I was mesmerized by this fellow making a “simple frame” by hand. So many details go into that rectangle that finishes off a painting. Hope you enjoy it too.
