So I went back to the Jurassic shore this weekend with paint in hand. Had a weekend camping trip planned, wanted to see the Joggins museum (did that, it’s wonderful!) and was going to find a nice area to paint (there are so many). Instead, I ended up wrestling with my tent — two tent poles broke (split clear down the middle). A nearby camper had some duct tape so we went to work on one of the poles but it still had an odd bend to it, and I didn’t realize it at the time but there was another one that had split as well. That explains why the tent fell over in the wind. That also explains why I didn’t get a new oil painting out of the trip, just a couple of sketches in my sketch book.
In any event, I came home early and had a really lovely rest after a couple of extremely hot days setting up, attempting repairs to my comfy tent, breaking it down again. It was a good tent, I’ll miss it. 🏕
On the upside though, I finally got the PIPAF 2022 sales page started, that was a chore and it is ongoing and, as promised, am mentioning it to you, dear subscriber, so that you’ll have first chance to glance and purchase, if you so desire.
CLICK HERE TO SEE THE PAINTINGS. (I’ll be updating images tonight and this week).
Will also add other paintings too (there are a few of them there now).
As always, thank you for your encouragement and support.
How did you fare in the recent heat?
PS - had a lovely view of the Bay of Fundy from my tent at Spencer’s Island. Nice while it lasted. 🏕
