It's in the mail! The Mail Art Postcard Project #1 for Paid Subscribers
A little bit of fun between your bills and commercial flyers for you and your postal carrier

Just got back from the post office after dropping off my first batch of limited edition postcards
. They’re on their way to the people who are on the paid subscriber tier of this newsletter as a way to say thank you for your support and encouragement. And as a way to make mail fun again. Who doesn’t appreciate a handwritten note in this day of instant digital communication? One day soon, when you’re flipping through your flyers and bills, you’ll find your postcard, it’s like a little piece of me, with my gratitude. ♥️
Thank you for your support and encouragement.

The painting featured on this month’s postcard is called “November Climber,” a 5 x 7-inch oil painting on board. The rose in this painting is from my climbing rose bush. I picked this flower on November 3, 2009 and painted it the same day, hence the name “November Climber.” If I recall correctly, it was the last flower on the shrub that year as it had bloomed later into the year than other years. I liked the hardiness of that plant in general and the vibrant colour of its bloom.
If you’re a paid subscriber, you’ll need to provide me with your mailing address in order for me to send a postcard your way. You can send it to me by email after you subscribe and you’ll be part of this mail art project too.
This piece originally went out with a typo in it. It said “mote” instead of “note.” This post has been updated with the correct spelling. However, since a “mote” is a small speck or particle, it is possible that one may have stowed away on the postcard you receive. If so, I assure you it is unintentional and harmless. Have a great day!
