As long as Covid doesn’t raise its ugly head, I’ll be in Lunenburg this weekend participating in the Lunenburg Arts Festival. The UNESCO World Heritage town is usually very busy during this weekend and it’ll be fun to see everyone out making their art along the waterfront and elsewhere in the town. Work will be for sale there.
In general, I am having a very busy summer, went to Parrsboro again this past weekend for an egg tempera workshop with Tom Forrestall and William Forrestall. I’m still digesting all of the information on this lovely medium they provided. The Forestalls make a great team for a workshop as their methods vary somewhat, providing more than one approach to incorporate into your own work.
Tom invited us to plein air paint with him on Saturday night, and the night started off that way but as more of the class joined with Tom on the beach, it became a demonstration with Tom answering many questions as he completed a beautiful landscape painting on paper.
It was an incredible experience.
Paintings from the Parrsboro International Plein Air Festival will be available on my website starting next week, I’ll provide more when I have a chance to get to my computer for posting again, probably after the Lunenburg weekend. I’ll make sure that subscribers have first chance.
Thank you, as always, for your time and your encouragement.
Love this post!
